Latest reports say that 2018 Maruti Suzuki Ciaz will launch in India on 20th August. Select Nexa dealers have already started taking booking amounts for it. The refreshed version will get many new features, cosmetic upgrades and a new petrol engine.
The 2018 Maruti Suzuki Ciaz has been spied multiple times while testing, with and without camouflage. Earlier reports suggested that it will launch on 6th August, but was pushed ahead. Now, the latest scoop by Gaadiwaadi says that the 2018 Maruti Suzuki Ciaz will launch on 20th August. Currently, various Nexa dealers are accepting booking amounts ranging from Rs 11,000 to Rs 25,000. The latest version receives some cosmetic updates, new features, and Suzuki’s new 1.5 Litre petrol engine. It will continue with the old 1.3 Litre DDiS diesel engine. There are some rumors about the diesel variant not launching now, which is completely false. We expect the sedan to start at around Rs 7.8 Lakhs to Rs 11.6 Lakhs (ex-showroom).

The latest version gets some design and features upgrades. It gets a new front-fascia grille with subtle chrome inserts over it. It gets a revised bumper which also has some chrome inserts over the fog-lamp cover. At the rear end side, there are no much changes expect chrome detailing on the rear end. It gets full LED treatment with LED headlamps, Daytime Running Lights and Taillights.

In terms of features, the 2018 Maruti Suzuki Ciaz gets Key-less Entry, Engine Push Button Start/Stop, Tilt-Telescopic Adjustable Steering Wheel, Multi-Functional Steering Wheel, Automatic Climate Control and an updated infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Other features of the sedan include rear parking sensors with camera, Electric ORVMs, Rear Air-Con vents, Steering mounted audio controls, cruise control an much more. It still feels like it misses out on some of the premium features that its competitors offer. For safety, it gets Airbags, ABS with EBD as standard across the range. In the higher variants, Ciaz will get up to 6 airbags with ISOFIX.

The 2018 Maruti Suzuki Ciaz gets a new 1.5 Litre K-Series SHVS engine. It replaces the older 1.4 Litre petrol engine. The new engine has been tuned better for the mild-hybrid tech. The upgraded 1.3 Litre DDiS diesel engine will join the Ciaz later. The new engine churns out 104 BHP of power and 138 Nm of torque. The mileage estimated on this engine os around 20.7 KMPL. The engine will come mated to a 5-speed Manual Transmission with an optional Automatic transmission.
