As per a recent report that has surfaced on the cyberspace, Hyundai Motor India Ltd, the country’s second most popular car manufacturer, has launched a new 1.4-litre petrol engine variant of the new generation Verna. As per this report, prices of the new Verna 1.4 Petrol start at Rs 7.29 lakh. The new engine option is available only in E and EX trims. It may be noted here that the new Verna went on sale in India with 1.6-litre Petrol and Diesel engines. While this makes the latest generation one of the most powerful cars in its segment, the Verna pretty much fails to enjoy a price advantage over the segment-leader, the Ciaz. Now, with the launch of the 2018 Hyundai Verna 1.4 petrol models, the company can hope to bring down the base price to a considerable extent.

2018 Hyundai Verna 1.4 Petrol Price in India
Hyundai is yet to officially reveal the price list of the new Verna. However, it’s being said that prices of the 2018 Hyundai Verna 1.4 Petrol model has gone on sale in two trims – E and EX. The E variant costs Rs 7.29 lakh. We are yet to get to know the price of the EX trim. With the new Verna’s base price going down by almost a lakh rupees, the Korean sedan should have a better chance at attractive away potential customers from the Ciaz.

2018 Hyundai Verna 1.4 Petrol Specifications
There are good chances that the new Hyundai Verna 1.4 Petrol models will be kitted out with a 1.4-litre MPi Kappa petrol engine. This engine belts out a maximum power of 100 PS at 6,000 rpm along with a peak torque of 132 Nm at 4,000 rpm. The engine will likely offer two transmission options – 6-speed manual and 6-speed automatic.
