The 2018 Hyundai Santro has been officially unveiled in India. It comes with a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system, rear AC vents and CNG variant.
Hyundai has today officially confirmed that their new small car will be called as the all-new Santro. Not only this, but the company has also released a few digital images of the 2018 Santro, giving us a brief preview of this car ahead of its official launch on the 23rd of this month. Hyundai is going to commence the bookings of the 2018 Santro in India starting tomorrow. The token amount is set for INR 11,000.
The 2018 Hyundai Santro (Read More) is going to come with a 1.1-litre, 4-cylinder petrol engine. This engine is going to churn out 67 BHP of power. The interesting thing to note here is that, in addition to a 5-speed manual gearbox, the Santro is also going to come with a 5-speed AMT gearbox. Furthermore, both the manual as well as the automatic variants will offer a commendable 20.3 km/l. Not only this but the company will also offer a CNG variant of this car at the time of launch.
Hyundai Motors India says that they have worked extensively to ensure that the cabin of the new Santro offers low NVH levels. And that this product is developed exclusively keeping in mind the need of Indian families. This hatchback promises to offer contemporary styling, a spacious cabin, sufficient headroom, higher seating, good ergonomics, a decent equipment list along with a wide powertrain option.

Talking about features, the 2018 Hyundai Santro is going to come with a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system. This unit will offer Apple Car Play and Android Auto connectivity. In addition to this, it will also support built-in GPS navigation. Furthermore, from what we know so far, this compact hatchback is going to get a dual-tone colour scheme. Hyundai has confirmed that it will also come with rear AC vents.
In terms of safety, this hatchback will offer driver airbag along with ABS and EBD as standard across the range. However, the passenger airbag will be offered on the top-end variant only.
As mentioned before, the 2018 Hyundai Santro is going to launch in India on the 23rd of October this year. The company is going to reveal the prices and other important details regarding it on the day itself.

We are expecting Hyundai to prices the new Santro very aggressively. According to our sources, the prices for the base variant are likely to start from INR 2.99 lakhs (ex-showroom). We expect the top-end variant to sport a price of INR 5.5 lakhs. With this prices spectrum, this hatchback will compete against the Maruti Celerio, WagonR, Tata Tiago and Renault KWID.
