As mentioned before, the next-generation Honda CR-V (Read More) is going to launch in India on the 9th of October 2018. Hence we still do not have the exact price list of this SUV with us. However, going by what the current iteration of this SUV costs, it is likely that the new CR-V is also going to cost in-between the mark of INR 25 lakhs to INR 30 Lakhs.
Talking about the Ford Endeavour (Read More), this SUV is currently on sale in India in a total of 3 variants. The base trim with the 2.2-litre diesel engine retails at INR 26.33 lakhs. The top of the line trim with the 3.2-litre diesel engine cost INR 32.81 lakhs to own.
2018 Honda CR-V Vs Ford Endeavour- Engine Specifications
The new Honda CR-V, for the first time, will retail in India with both petrol as well as diesel engines. the petrol derivative is going to come with a 2.0-litre i-VTEC unit. This engine is capable of producing 154 BHp along with 189 Nm of peak torque. There is only one variant for the petrol derivative on offer. And it comes as standard with a CVT automatic transmission unit.

The diesel derivative in this Honda is a 1.6-litre i-DTEC motor. This engine, unlike it European iteration comes with a single turbocharger. Hence, in comparison to the latter’s 160 BHP, this one churns out 120 BHP of power. The torque figure stands at 300 Nm. The diesel derivative is available in 2WD and 4WD variants. Both come with a 7-speed torque converter gearbox.
The Ford Endeavour is available in India only with a choice of two diesel engines. It does not offer a petrol derivative in its model line-up. The base variants come with a 2.2-litre TDCi oil-burner. This engine pumps out 158 BHP along with 385 NM of peak torque.

The top-of-the-line trim comes with a 3.2-litre. This motor belts out 197 BHP along with 470 Nm of peak torque. As standard, both the engines come with a 6-speed automatic torque converter gearbox.

The petrol derivative of the 2018 Honda CR-V promises to offer a fuel-efficiency figure of 14.4 km/l. The diesel derivative in the 2WD variants is going to offer a mileage figure of 19.5 km/l. The 4WD version promises to offer 18.3 km/l.

Moving on to the Ford Endeavour, the 2.2-litre engine promises to offer 12.62 km/l. On the other hand, the 3.2-litre diesel engine will offer 10.91 km/l.
