2018 Hero Super Splendor – Launch Price
The updated for 2018 Hero Super Splendor has been launched at a price of INR 57,190. Compared to the model it replaces, the new Splendor gets dearer by around INR 1,000. The increase in price gets you several visual as well as mechanical updates as the 2018 Hero Super Splendor makes 27 percent more power than its predecessor.

2018 Hero Super Splendor – Specifications
The new 2018 Hero Super Splendor features new graphics which enhance the premium and sporty appeal of the bike. The muffler now gets a chrome cover while the tail light features a new sleeker design. The new Super Splendor now comes in five colour options – Purple, Black with Red, Black with Silver, Red and Grey. Compared to the previous model, the new graphics on the headlamp cowl, tank and the side body feature sharp and vibrant graphics while the rest of the bike remains unchanged. As per the government norms, the 2018 Hero Super Splendor features Auto Headlamp On (AHO) as well.
2018 Hero Super Splendor – Engine Specifications
The new 2018 Hero Super Splendor features an updated version of the 125 cc engine. The updated mill now features Torque-on-Demand (TOD) and offers 27 percent more power. The power output of the single-cylinder engine is rated at 11.4 PS at 7,500 rpm and 111 Nm torque at 6,000 rpm, an increase of 6 percent over its predecessor. The engine comes mated to a four-speed gearbox. The updated engine allows the rider to reach a top speed of 95 kmph now. Hero has also included the i3S (idle stop and start system) technology to improve the fuel efficiency in city riding conditions.
2018 Hero Super Splendor – Mileage
The 2018 Hero Super Splendor features an updated engine with improved performance and efficiency. The new Super Splendor claims to deliver up to 83 KMPL in the Indian cycle with 75% city use and 25% highway use.

2018 Hero Super Splendor – Cycle Parts
The new Super Splendor employs telescopic hydraulic shocks at the front and 5-step adjustable twin hydraulic setup at the rear. Stopping power comes from drum brakes at each end with the front and rear both offering identical size of 130 mm.

2018 Hero Super Splendor – Competition
The 2018 Hero Super Splendor competes with the likes of segment players from Honda, Yamaha and Bajaj. The Honda CB Shine, Bajaj Discover 125 and the Yamaha Saluto are the main competitors of the new Splendor in the segment. Several updated bikes from TVS and Mahindra in the 125cc segment are expected to hit the market soon.
