2018 Hero Super Splendor iSmart 125 launch soon. Expect a price hike of INR 1,000 for the new model
World’s largest automaker, Hero MotoCorp launched the 2018 Hero Super Splendor iSmart 125 in India according to a report on Gaadiwaadi. The refreshed commuter features a new design, graphics amongst other changes. The Super Splendor iSmart 125 has been leading the sales charts in its category, as a result, the company launched the facelift to further enhance the bike’s appeal and to push the sales to a great start in 2018. The commuter segment has been the most profitable section for Hero MotoCorp overtime. The emphasis on such segment has led to the company to become the leading auto manufacturer globally. Honda had a similar start with the Cub monkey bike that sold over 4 million units globally and was the favoured choice amongst the farmers in Japan and other nations.

2018 Hero Super Splendor iSmart 125 Design
The 2018 Hero MotoCorp Super Splendor iSmart 125 features new body graphics and paint scheme. The 3D sporty graphics start at the headlamp unit and stretch to the entire length of the bike. The font, size and placement of the badges remain the same with the bold ‘Super Splendor’ badge adorning the tank. The blue and silver graphics scheme looks a tad bit more appealing than the ongoing model. The seat is now longer and wider for added comfort.

Driving the 2018 Super Splendor iSmart 125 is a 124.7 cc single-cylinder engine. The engine churns out 9.12 PS at 7,000 rpm and 10.35 Nm at 4,000 rpm. The 124.7 cc engine comes mated to a four-speed transmission and features the latest iSmart technology. The iSmart is like the micro-hybrid system of Maruti Suzuki wherein the bike would automatically switch the ignition off when the rider stops at a signal or the bike is idle, furthermore, the engine stirs back to life as soon as the rider engages the clutch lever. This system helps conserve fuel and enhances the bike’s fuel economy. Expect the new 2018 Super Splendor to return a fuel economy of around 80kmpl.

The 2018 Super Splendor comes equipped telescopic forks in the front. The rear gets 5-step adjustable hydraulic shock absorbers. Stopping power comes from 130 mm drum brakes at both ends. 2018 Super Splendor iSmart 125 Price and Competition
The current model of the Super Splendor retails for INR 56,215 ex-showroom Delhi. The 2018 model will host an increase in price and we expect the company to increase the price by INR 1,000. The bookings for the upcoming 2018 Super Splendor iSmart 125 have been initiated by dealers with the deliveries starting early 2018. Upon launch, the Super Splendor will lock its horns with the Honda CB Shine, Bajaj Discover 125, Bajaj V12 and Yamaha Saluto.
