2018 Ford Figo facelift and a new crossover variant spied testing
Here are a couple of spy images of the upcoming 2018 Ford Figo facelift testing alongside the soon-to-launch crossover variant. The Figo facelift will come with a host of styling updates along with possibly a new petrol engine. The crossover variant, which is known as the Ford Ka Trail in South American markets, will be called either ‘Active’ or ‘Freestyle’. It will offer a slightly more rugged styling package. The 2018 Figo facelift will make its India debut at the Auto Expo 2018 and will likely launch in the second quarter of next year.

2018 Ford Figo Facelift – Expected Launch Date
Launch Date (expected) | May 2018 |
Ford India is yet to share any official detail on the India launch date of the new 2018 Ford Figo Facelift twins. However, we think the new model will make its India debut at the Auto Expo 2018. Thereafter, the new cars could launch in the first-half of 2018. It may be noted here that the Ford Figo crossover variant is already on sale in Brazil as the Ka Trail. The latest-generation Figo was launched in India in 2015. Sadly, it hasn’t really been able to set the sales charts on fire. Hence, the introduction of the new models could do a lot of good to the sales performance of the new generation car.
2018 Ford Figo Facelift – Engine & Transmission
It’s highly likely that the current 1.2-litre and 1.5-litre four-cylinder petrol engines will be replaced by new three-cylinder units from the Dragon range. The 1.5-litre three-cylinder petrol engine has already made its India debut on the EcoSport facelift. The 1.5-litre TDCI diesel engine will mostly remain unchanged.
So, are you waiting for the launch of the new 2018 Ford Figo facelift and Cross variant?
