2018 Ford Aspire Facelift has been launched in India at a starting price of Rs 5.55 Lakhs up to Rs 8.49 Lakhs (prices ex-showroom New Delhi). It gets minor cosmetic upgrades, two new petrol engines and many feature additions too. Check out the features and specs ahead.
Finally, the Ford Aspire gets a facelift. The facelift gets mechanical, cosmetic and features upgrades, making it a tough competitor now. The Aspire rivals against the likes of Maruti Suzuki Dzire and Honda Amaze. Now, it comes with two more powerful petrol engines. For the fast few months, Aspire’s performance in the market has been dull. Same is the case with the Figo. Both the entry-level Ford cars are due for a facelift for a long time. The earlier Aspire was outdated a bit and now with this updated model, we expect the selling figures to go up.

The 2018 Ford Aspire Facelift gets a new 1.2 Litre Dragon Petrol engine that produces around 96 BHP of power. This engine comes mated to a 5-speed gearbox. It also gets a new 1.5 Litre petrol engine, that tunes only with an automatic unit. This petrol engine produces 123 BHP of power and 146 Nm of torque.
The 1.5 Litre petrol unit comes equipped with a 6-speed conventional automatic gearbox. Earlier, it came with the dual-clutch transmission. It continues with the 1.5 Litre diesel engine but is more refined for better power figures. The diesel engine produces around 99 BHP power and 215 Nm torque.
The mileage figure of the Dragon petrol engine is claimed to be around 20.4 kmpl and that of the other petrol engine is 18 kmpl. 2018 Ford Aspire facelift gets a retuned diesel engine, which gives a better mileage figure of 26/1 kmpl.

Cosmetic upgrades include a revised front grille, a new pair of sleeker headlamps, LED DRLs, a revised fog lamp housing, and also revised front and rear bumpers. Along with this, there are a new set of alloy wheels on offer, too. Inside the cabin, the layout remains the same as earlier, just the design of the centre console is changed.

The Aspire takes on the likes of Volkswagen Ameo, Maruti Suzuki Dzire, Honda Amaze, Hyundai Xcent, and Tata Tigor. Barring Tigor, all of the other sedans come equipped with the latest features. However, Tigor Facelift is also going to launch this month.
