In the latest development, the manufacturer showcased the new bikes at the new Discover twins launch event that was held yesterday. The styling updates the new motorcycles carry should help it establish a stronger foothold in the market. The new Avenger is likely to go on sale at an ex-showroom price of roughly Rs 88,000. The company is yet to reveal the official launch date.

The new 2018 Bajaj Avenger Street 220 range comes with new graphics. The new decals are highly reminiscent of those on the V15. Furthermore, the updated cruiser motorcycle gets a new flyscreen that covers the new all-digital speedometer. Also, the headlamp housing gets a brushed aluminum finish. The covers for the side box also get an updated design. The grab rail gets a small cushioned padding while the taillamp is now sleeker and has LED fixtures. The rear fender seems to have become longer.

The Avenger sports a 4-stroke 220CC engine borrowed from the Pulsar family which delivers a maximum power of 19.3bhp @ 8500rpm and a maximum torque of 19.12Nm @ 7000rpm. The specs might see some revisions to the 2018 model. However, real-world performance isn’t expected to see a drastic change.
