2018 Audi Q5 Petrol variant has been launched in India at Rs 55.27 Lakhs (ex-showroom). The new-generation Q5 was launched in January, but only in Diesel engine option. After an increasing demand for the petrol variant of the SUV, it is launched. It gets no upgrades from the diesel engine, except the new 2.0 Litre TFSI engine.
The latest generation of Audi Q5 SUV was launched earlier this year. It got major upgrades from the last generation. However, the Q5 was only available in diesel variant. After much demand for the petrol variant of the SUV, the Audi Q5 petrol variant has been launched. It gets a 2.0 Litre TFSI engine. Barring the engine, the rest of the car gets the same specs and features of the diesel variant. The only other difference is a ’45 TFSI’ badging on the boot of the SUV. The SUV is priced at Rs 55.27 Lakhs (ex-showroom). It competes with Mercedes GLC, BMW X3, Volvo XC60 and Range Rover Discovery Sport. In its competition, it is one of the costliest priced SUVs.

For design, it takes major underpinnings from the Q7. In the front, it gets a new massive single-frame grille flanked by new Matrix LED lights and DRLs. It gets the same alloy wheels from the diesel variant. Also, Audi has various customization options for alloy wheels. In the rear, it gets LED taillights, a rear spoiler, bumper stop lamps and dual exhaust mufflers.
The interiors of the SUV comes with a dual-tone black and beige colour with heavy leather inserts. It gets an 8.3-inch infotainment system with a trackpad and easy shortcut buttons. The 12.3-inch virtual cockpit comes only in the top-spec variant, otherwise, there is an analogue display console. The virtual cockpit comes with features such as navigation, music, contacts and the usual which is real-time fuel consumption, distance to empty and average speed. It comes in classic and aggressive modes.

2018 Audi Q5 Petrol variant features intelligent voice dialogue system, wireless charging, 10GB of storage space, GPS navigation, three-zone automatic climate control, cruise control, electric operated tail-gate, panoramic sunroof and electrically adjustable leather seats along. Safety features of the SUV include 8 airbags, active lane assist, collision avoidance assist, pre-sense front and rear park assist with 360 degrees camera and blind spot warning.
The 2018 Audi Q5 Petrol runs on a 2.0 Litre TFSI engine, also available in the Q7. The engine produces around 148 BHP worth of max horsepower and 370 Nm worth of torque. It is mated to a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission. The driver can also use 6 different driving modes that include comfort, dynamic, efficient, auto, individual and off-road.
