The latest limited edition of this motorcycle comes just days ahead of the arrival of this year’s festive season. It may be noted here that demand for new cars and bikes gets really high during this period of the year and hence, almost every manufacturer try really hard to cash in on the surge in demand to the fullest. The new 2017 TVS Star City Plus Special Edition has gone on sale at an ex-showroom price of Rs 50,534. There are no mechanical changes for this special model. The motorcycle continues to get its juice from a 109.7cc, single-cylinder engine that comes mated to a four-speed manual transmission. The engine outputs a maximum power of 8.3 BHP and a peak torque of 8.7 Nm. The bike gets telescopic forks up front and twin shock absorbers at the rear. The rear suspension is five-step adjustable. Braking duties are courtesy of a 130 mm drum brake at front and a 110 mm unit at the rear. The bike gets 17-inch alloy wheels that come shod with 2.75×17 and 3.00×17 section front and rear tyres respectively.
