Maruti will launch the new generation Swift during this year’s festive season. The Swift has long been the cash cow for MSIL and is among the most successful cars in its segment. No surprise, then, that Hyundai is about to give a makeover to its Grand i10. The makeover seen on the India-spec is similar to the Grand i10 facelift on sale in Europe. 2017 Hyundai Grand i10 Facelift Launch Date

Hyundai India is yet to release the official details on the launch date. However, it is likely that the new 2017 Hyundai Grand i10 Facelift launch date will fall in this quarter. Production of the new 2017 Grand i10 facelift is already underway and it has started reaching dealerships as well.
The 2017 Grand i10 will launch before then new-gen Swift. This should give the updated i10 a free run of sorts until the launch of new Swift. Camouflaged test mules of the 2017 Hyundai Grand i10 facelift have been spotted in India on a handful of occasions. This means HMIL has been working overtime readying the new model for its launch by February 2017.
According to some reports, Hyundai was planning on launching the Grand i10 facelift by the end of 2016. However, now the launch will take place in February 2017. Next year, Hyundai will also launch the AWD variant of the new Tucson SUV and the 2017 Verna. The Carlino compact SUV and a new MPV in will come to us by 2018.

These are the ex-showroom prices of the upcoming 2017 Grand i10 facelift. As can be seen in the price list here, prices of the entry level trims of the Grand i10 2017 will be slightly lower than the current model. However, top end trims have gotten expensive. This is due to the addition of the new features. Currently, the Grand i10 range starts at roughly Rs 4.91 Lakh. Price of the entry level Era trim has gone down by Rs. 30,000, while that of the top end Asta trim has gone up by the same amount.

2017 Hyundai Grand i10 Facelift Mileage

The 2017 Hyundai Grand i10 facelift could come with enhanced fuel mileage. Currently, the petrol model has a claimed mileage of 18.90 KMPL. The Diesel model, which gets a new 1.2 L engine, could also boast a slightly higher mileage than the current 1.1 L diesel’s 24 KMPL.
New Hyundai Grand i10 2017 Interior Review
The Grand i10 has won a lot of accolades for its roomy and feature-loaded cabin. The 2017 Grand i10 Facelift too will offer the same sort of space, but with even more features! While the panels will remain the same in terms of design, the interior will get a black and red colour and trim. Feature additions include bits like a new 7 inch touchscreen AVN and auto aircon. 2017 Hyundai Grand i10 Exterior Review
Dimensions of the Grand i10 will remain unchanged. This means the 2017 facelift will be 3,765 mm long, 1,660 mm wide and 1,520 mm tall. Even the wheelbase will be same at 2,425 mm. The ground clearance is likely to be 165 mm. The boot space will be 256 litres and fuel tank capacity will be 43-litres. The India-spec model borrows many design cues from the Europe-spec i10. The refreshed i10 comes with a ‘cascading’ front grille and integrated round LED DRLs. The fog lamp housings remind us of the Elantra while the rear bumper too gets new foglamps and black inserts.
As we said, examples of the new Grand i10 have been spotted at dealerships. It features the new ‘cascading’ front grille and will also get LED DRLs. Also expect new alloy wheels and side rub strips.

The 2017 Grand i10 facelift will get a new diesel engine. The exisiting 1.1 L diesel will be replaced by a bigger, more powerful 1.2 L unit. Exact specifications are unknown. Petrol models will continue with the 1.2 L engine. While both the engines comes with a 5-speed Manual transmission, the petrol model also gets an optional 4-speed automatic gearbox.
New Hyundai Grand i10 2017 Engines and Transmissions
As we said, new 2017 Hyundai Grand i10 will feature a new 1.2 L diesel engine. Hence, power and torque should be more. The 1.2 L Petrol motor outputs 81 BHP, while the Diesel engine is likely to offer around 75 BHP. The new diesel engine will help bring the i10 at par with its closest rival Maruti Swift. Transmission options will continue unchanged. A 5-speed manual gearbox will be standard across petrol and diesel variants. Additionally, Grand i10 petrol will also get a 4-speed automatic.
Hyundai is also developing its own range of AMT geaboxes. However, they are unlikely to make their debut on the upcoming Grand i10 facelift.
