Thanks to its spacious interior, decent engines, world-class design and wide after sales support of Hyundai Motor India Ltd, the Elite i20 has found many takers. However, the new Maruti Baleno, which went on sale in 2015, has been nibbling away from the i20’s customer base. The Era, which is the base model, gets a considerable price cut. The Magna trim misses out on some features and becomes Magna Executive. However, it now comes at a more attractive price point. Even the Sportz trim will no longer come with reverse parking sensors and camera. The Asta trim will no longer offer automatic headlamps and diamond-cut alloys. But Hyundai has introduced an Asta Dual Tone paint scheme option, which gets dual-tone paint jobs. Also, Asta (O) comes with 6 airbags and a 7-inch AVN with touchscreen navigation. Sportz (O) trim is no longer on offer.

A noteworthy addition to the list, the new 7-inch infotainment system is compatible with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and Mirror Link. The Asta(O) also offers a dual-tone body color option. Interior of the 2017 Elite i20 comes draped in black and gets orange accents.

The 2017 Hyundai Elite i20 facelift will have the same engines as the current model. This means while the 2017 Elite i20 petrol will come with a 1.2 Litre engine option, the Diesel model will get a 1.4 Litre oil burner. Furthermore, the 2017 i20 will be also retain the 1.4 Litre petrol engine that comes with a 4-speed Automatic gearbox. While all other petrol variants get a 5-speed manual transmission, the Diesel engine comes with a 6-speed manual ‘box. All the models have a front wheel drive (FWD) configuration.

2017 Hyundai Elite i20 Facelift Exterior & Interior
The 2017 model Hyundai Elite i20 carries a set of minor visual updates. In all likelihood, these cosmetic changes will be reserved for the top-end Asta(O) trim. The fully-loaded model will get a dual tone exterior that will have a black roof for red and white paints. It will also have a black interior theme. Also, the 2017 Hyundai Elite i20 facelift’s top-end trim will get new design diamond-cut alloys. The interior will have a longer features list. A noteworthy addition is that of a new 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system. The new system supports Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and Mirror Link.
