Honda Cars India claims that the latest-generation City sedan has sold over 2.5 lakh copies since it commenced its Indian innings in 2014. Thanks to the strong performance, the latest City has become the highest-selling City yet. The latest generation City received a facelift in February this year. Post GST, the new 2017 model Honda City prices start at Rs 8.46 lakh. The top-end trim of Diesel model costs Rs 13.43 lakh. The 2017 City facelift builds up on India’s 4th generation City and carries several cosmetic and features updates. With the burgeoning demand for the facelift, Honda just might be able to reclaim the top spot in its segment. Price of this model is Rs 13.37 lakh. The Diesel City ZX, on the other hand, has a price of Rs 13.43 Lakh. It gets a 6-speed Manual Transmission. Specifications remain almost unchanged. Apart from a slightly lower mileage, the City’s specifications remain same as earlier. Both engines offer same power-torque as earlier. Unlike what rumours stated, the Petrol model doesn’t get a 6-speed Manual Transmission. Honda has worked on lowering the NVH levels on the Diesel model.
