Design
The 2017 Audi A6 will boast of a far more radical exterior design than the current model. The design of the fifth-generation A6 will be based on the Audi Prologue design study that was showcased last year. Quite obviously, the highlight of the 2017 A6’s exterior design will be the rather aggressive front-end that will feature a wider, sleeker grille and sharp-looking headlamps. The posterior of the car could be characterized by a LED-strip that would run between the taillights.

Technical Details
The upcoming 2017 Audi A6 will be underpinned by the much publicized MLB Evo platform and this could lead to weight savings of up to 100 kgs. It maybe noted that the MLB Evo underpins the India-bound new generation Audi Q7. The next generation A6 could also boast of a semi-autonomous driving system that should enable the car to drive itself up to speeds of 60 km/h. This advanced driving aid could feature a cloud memory system for remembering road conditions. Another highlight of the A6’s modern features would be a tilt-adjustable LCD monitor for the cabin.
Powering the next generation Audi A6 will be a set of engines that is likely to include an updated 2.0-litre four-cylinder gasoline motor and a 4.0-litre V8 TDI turbocharged diesel engine that could have a peak power of 400 PS. Also, the car would be available in a plug-in hybrid variant that could be powered by a 2.0-litre TSFI turbocharged petrol motor and an electric motor that will provide an additional 122 PS of power. The new A6 would also get an air suspension system that will work in tandem with the famed “Magic Ride” system
