The Hyundai Verna, which is sold as the Accent in most international markets, is easily among the most successful cars from the South Korean car maker. While the Indian subsidiary of Hyundai is yet to launch the Verna facelift in our car market, Hyundai Motor Company has been busy readying the all-new fifth-generation Accent. 2016 Hyundai Verna Release Date
In all likelihood, the next generation Hyundai Verna will be unveiled towards the end of next year and could step into the international car market by second quarter of next year. As we said earlier, the 2016 Verna will be launched in India only in early 2017, which means that our country won’t be among the first few markets to get the next generation of Hyundai’s popular sedan.

2016 Hyundai Verna Changes
While the next generation Verna will continue to follow the latest version of Hyundai’s Fluidic design language, we expect it to take some styling cues from the refreshed 2015 Sonata. Our belief is that the car will have a more aggressive front fascia that will have a more angular grille and LED headlamps. On the inside, expect it to have richer materials and plenty of new features. The wheel design too will be new. It is expected that the Verna 2016 will also be more aerodynamic than the current model. It would be safe to assume that the next Verna will be longer and roomier than the present generation.
2016 Hyundai Verna Engines
In all likelihood, the current range of 1.4- and 1.6-litre diesel and petrol motors will be carried over to the next generation model. However, rumours have been abounding that Hyundai will also bestow the next Verna with a new 1.0-litre, 3-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine that will be high on both power and frugality. The next generation car is expected to ditch the 4-speed automatic gearbox in favour of a 7-speed dual-clutch unit.
