The TVS Jupiter has turned out to be a very successful model for the Hosur-based two wheeler manufacturer. Last year in August, the company had launched the TVS Jupiter ZX and this year TVS has launched a special edition called the TVS Jupiter MillionR to commemorate the sale of 1 million TVS Jupiters. Currently, the scooter is one of the highest selling in its segment behind the Activa. While overtaking the Activa would be an unrealistic target, the TVS will want the Jupiter to keep its nose ahead of the Hero Maestro and this special edition should help its cause. It was earlier being speculated that the TVS Jupiter ZX will come equipped with a front disc brake. However, that is not the case as the Jupiter ZX shares its mechanicals with the standard Jupiter without any changes whatsoever. However, the newly launched MillionR special edition comes with front disc brakes. It continues to be powered by a 109.7cc single cylinder engine which produces 7.88 bhp @ 7500 rpm and 8Nm @ 5500 rpm. Fuel efficiency figures stand at a healthy 53.90 kmpl and the TVS Jupiter has a top speed of a shade over 85 km/h.

The Jupiter ZX and MillionR are currently available through TVS dealerships across the country. The homegrown two wheeler and three wheeler manufacturer is currently working on more new products for the Indian market.
