Hyundai Motor India Ltd. has silently launched the new 2015 model Hyundai Elantra in India. The 2015 Elantra made its public debut last year and is already on sale in several markets across the globe. The 2015 Elantra comes with a set of visual upgrades and a longer list of features, which does make this D-segment sedan a more attractive option for prospective customers. The Hyundai Elantra rivals like the likes of Toyota Corolla Altis, Volkswagen Jetta and the Skoda Octavia, and so far, has been among the most successful models in its segment. Looks
The updated Elantra comes with a slightly revised front fascia that features a new bumper, new projector headlamps with LED fixtures for the role of guiding lights and new design fog lamps. While the side profile remains largely the same, the car does get new design 16-inch 10-spoke alloy wheels and some additional chrome on areas such as the door handles. Furthermore, the Elantra gets new electrically adjustable and retractable Outside Rear View Mirrors (ORVMs). At the rear-end, the car gets slightly revised LED effect rear taillights, a new bumper and a chrome-tipped exhaust. On the inside, the car gets a new all-black theme and new leather upholstery. The cabin also gets metallic scuff plates, sporty aluminium pedals, new console box with armrest and rear air-con vents.

Features
The 2015 Elantra comes with a host of premium features, which include auto headlamps, push-button start with smart key, automatic cruise control, 4.3-inch TFT LCD touchscreen audio system, Bluetooth controls on the multi-function steering wheel, and ventilation and 10 way adjustable power seats. Safety features include – six airbags, vehicle stability management, ESP, ABS with EBD, Hill Assist Control and disc brakes on all four wheels.

Engine
Engine options for the Elantra remain unchanged and the 2015 model comes with a 1.8-litre Dual VTVT engine and a 1.6-litre turbocharged CRDi diesel engine. This engine has a maximum power of 149.5 PS and a peak torque of 177.5 Nm. The diesel trims are powered by the 1.6-litre VGT CRDi engine that has a maximum power of 128 PS and a peak torque of 260 Nm. The engines are available with both 6-speed manual and 6-speed automatic transmission.

Fuel Mileage
The 2015 Elantra offers up to 22.7 km/l of maximum claimed mileage. Here’s the complete list –
