Mercedes-Benz, the name which made its identity with its futuristic designs and technology, has now unveiled the facelift version of the second generation B-class. Mercedes has touched new heights by retailing more than 3 lakh 50 thousand B-class cars internationally since its launch in 2011. Now the 2015 Mercedes-Benz B-Class facelift has been revealed with a revised engine range, sublte re-design and enhanced interiors.
Mercedes Benz B-Class facelift is expected to be available in the Indian showrooms in early 2015 with a starting price of Rs. 22.57 lakhs.
Interiors & Exteriors
The facelift model of B-class looks more dynamic from the front with a new bumper, wide radiator trim with two louvres and now integral daytime running lamps in the headlamps. At the rear, the rear bumper has an additional chrome trim strip. Bi-colour tail lamps showcasing LED technology which adds to its looks and enhance safety.
The interiors of the facelift model is now updated to add premiumness with a large, free-standing head unit display of 8 inches and the stylish dial layout for the instrument cluster. The choice of ambient lighting allows to create 12 different moods.
Safety
Mercedes has enhanced safety features in the B-class facelift through Collision Prevention Assist Plus, which provides autonomous partial braking to reduce the risk of rear end collision and Attention Assist to visualize the driver’s current attention level. These features will be offered on the models sold in India too.
Engine
The B-Class facelift comes with wide range of engine options- four diesel engines, four petrol engines and two models with alternative drive systems. The B 180 and B 180 CDI BlueEFFICIENCY Editions are also available.
The new B 200 CDI 4MATIC has also been launched, but will not be offered in India.
The Mercedes Benz B-class offers:
- Four Diesel Engine Models- B 180 CDI, B 180 CDI ECO, B 200 CDI and B 200 CDI/ 4MATIC
- Two Petrol Engine Models- B 180 and B 200
- One Alternative Drive System- B-Class Electric Drive.
