The Ford Mustang, there is something about that name that evokes a bit of emotion. It sounds catchy, it refers to the wild and powerful horses that are found North America and two iconic machines have been also named the same. One of the machines was a plane that helped the allies dominate the skies over Europe during World War II, the P-51 Mustang, the other is an iconic pony car, the Ford Mustang.
The Ford Mustang is the only pony car (affordable, compact, stylish car with a sporty image) to have been produced uninterruptedly for five decades, the first generation of the car was launched in 1964. Ford will celebrate 50 years of its production in 2014 and it will be producing, for the first time in the cars production history, a right-hand drive version too. This means that the car could be launched in left-side drive markets including India, Autocar India says that Ford India is seriously considering launching the car here.

Spy shots of the 2015 Ford Mustang are doing the rounds of the internet. Here are some of the ones which show the front of the car clearly, the rest of the car is pretty well camouflaged.
There are many people who have tried to guess what the 2015 Ford Mustang would look like based on these shots and others around the web. First let us show you renderings which are allegedly based on CAD images from Ford, these were posted at Mustang6G.com:

The Ford Mustang, if launched in India is expected to cost more than Rs. 40 Lakh, and the company is expected to sell the car in limited numbers. It will be marketed as a halo car, helping the company to raise its status in India; Ford in India is known as a manufacturer of affordable cars and SUVs.
It would be interesting which variants of the new Mustang would be available in India, if it is brought here at all. The present car is powered by three engines and is available either as a coupe or as a convertible. We are hoping that Ford will bring the Mustang to India, and they do offer the Shelby variants too.
What do you think about Fords plans to bring the Mustang to India? Should they bring all the variants to India? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
