Skoda Octavia is one of the most anticipated launches for the year 2013. When the Octavia got reveled most of the car enthusiasts around the world were blown by its design language. Like other car brands Skoda introduces different variants of its cars like the very famous L&K variant, and the Combi version which are widely loved in Europe. And now the 2014 Skoda Octavia Combi variant of the 2013 Octavia is reveled just ahead of Octavia’s official announcement at the Geneva Motor Show.
The new Octavia Combi is more practical and advanced than its predecessor. The car is not only packed with more features and gizmos but also differs and better on dimension part. The Skoda Octavia is based on the new MQB platform which also benefits the Combi variant, the new Combi is 11 cm longer in terms of wheelbase that’s its predecessor which will surely have a major advantage in case where the legroom is concerned. And not only the wheelbase the overall length of the new car is increased by 90mm and width by 45mm all these terms speaks for themselves.
The boot of the Skoda Octavia Combi has a capacity of 610 liters with rear seats up and an enormous figure of 1749 liters with rear seats down and the car has a feature to fold down the front row too further increasing the boot space. Design wise the car is based entirely on the Skoda Octavia which itself is groundbreaking, the exteriors and interiors resemble to Skoda Octavia.
Now talking of the powertrain not much information is revealed but it is expected to be one powering the 2013 Skoda Octavia itself. The company will offers its petrol range of TSI engines and TDI diesel engines varying from 1.2 liter, 1.4 liter, 1.6 liter and 2.0 liter. An another 4×4 variants is also expected by the Czech manufactures for the Combi variant i.e. the Haldex four wheel drive system which was featured in the VW Golf Mk7. The car will be officially revealed at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show in March 2013.
