In terms of an important market for automobiles, India is definitely expanding. Mahindra is one of the top most automobile manufacturing companies in the country. Their products are quite well received and appreciated in the market as is evident for its increasing sales and great success and growth. Scorpio is one of the most important models for the company since it is quite in demand with the customers.
According to the estimates, more than 4 lac units of Mahindra Scorpio have been sold ever since its launch, some eleven years ago. Furthermore, in the recent years, the sales of this model have only increased. The records indicate that the company has been selling about 50 thousand units of Scorpio a year, on average, for the past two years.
Recently, the 2014 Mahindra Scorpio new model was spotted testing in the R&D Center of the company. The spy shots of the prototype have revealed that the SUV was camouflaged and was seen with emission testing equipment at its rear. As per the images of the car, there is an AVL (Anstalt für Verbrennungskraftmaschinen) logo on the box.
It is the Austria based company handling the responsibility of test systems, instrumentation as well as developing powertrain systems. Going by the looks of it, we guess Mahindra is testing some new component for its SUV.
