Ford India in 2003 when introduced the Ford Endeavour it became the heart throb of many SUV enthusiasts and gradually made its place in the Indian market. Ford Endeavour is in its second generation and has started to look very out dated in terms of design and features when compared to market leaders like Toyota Fortuner, Chevrolet Captiva but despite Endeavour has a fan following of its own. Today we bring you an interesting render of the next generation 2014 Ford Endeavour.
These render of the Ford Endeavour are done by Cristiano Sousa of Autos Projetos and Theophiluschin. The rendered Ford Endeavour surely takes bits from the Ford Ranger as it is based on it. The new design language makes its own statement; the SUV looks more aerodynamic than its predecessors. The next-gen Ford Endeavour looks more muscular, more sophisticated and will surely make way when it will finally come out.
The cabin will also be revised and will be given a complete new feel with all new features and updated design layout which is a must for Endeavour. The Ford is expected to power the new Endeavour with both Diesel and Petrol engines. Diesel lineup will include a 2.2 TDCI. 2.5 TDCI and a 3.0 TDCI engine and a 2.0 liter EcoBoost engine for the petrol.
The Ford Endeavour will have both manual as well as automatic gearbox and will come in 2WD and 4WD options. The new SUV will be localized in Ford’s Thailand facility and will come to India as a CKD (completely knocked down unit). The pricing of the Ford Endeavour will play a vital role in the cars success as the SUV market in India is raising to new heights and SUV’s in India are gaining more market share than ever before. It will be interesting to see how Ford prepares to take on the current market leaders like Toyota, Mahindra etc. Stay tuned for more news.
