Chevrolet Corvette since the launch of its first generation has been the heartthrob of many. The Corvette is not just speed but it is known for its perfect blender of styling and speed. The sixth generation of the Chevrolet Corvette was a huge success but it started to look a bit outdated when compared to its rivals like Audi r8 and General Motors without wasting much time introduced the world to the seventh generation of the Chevrolet Corvette.
The new Corvette was launched at the Detroit Motor Show marks the return of the ‘stingray’. The car looks marvelous from every angle and gives a more futuristic look. On the exteriors the car leaves its ‘plastic body’ and adopts new aluminum frame, the Corvette looks more advanced, clean and the looks itself makes a statement for the car. On the inside the story continues with a more driver concentrated and tilted dashboard.

The new Corvette adopts an all new carbon fiber materials; the car has an option of driving it in 12 different modes like the eco mode in which four out of eight cylinders shuts down and three different settings for instrument cluster. The Corvette comes equipped with an 8-inch multimedia screen at the centre of the dashboard.
To power the new beast the General Motors will use a 6.2 liter V8 engine which will produce 450 BHP and 610 Nm and also feature direct injection technology. Such power is enough to make Corvette reach 100 KMPH from stand still in just 4 seconds. Price and availability of the new 2014 Chevrolet Corvette ‘Stingray’ is not announced but it has made enough hype and buzz that it will be interesting to see how sale figures turns for the Corvette and General Motors.
Its light weight high power engine and superior aerodynamics give it the much required agility. The car is loaded with high safety and technology with the use of strong materials like carbon fiber which make it strong and racing light at the same time. Some of the advanced features equipped on Corvette Stingray include an electronic throttle control or ETC, Paddle shift for sporty driving, active fuel management system, active exhaust system, electronically controlled limited slip differential, active handling stability control, traction control to name a few.
