It has been quite a while since Maruti Suzuki started testing the 2013 Maruti SX4 Facelift new model with cosmetic upgraded and other minor changes. The car is expected to be launched somewhere around mid of 2013 in June-July time as per the expectations of the media. The SX4 facelift has been spied once again, this time, it looks like a company or dealer yard with many cars parked next to it. The updates on the front are quite simple and cosmetic in nature with a new chrome slated grille, large chrome Suzuki logo, a new bumper design and minor changes here and there.
The interiors have also been clicked, although the picture is not very clear, but it indicates new colour theme and changes in the central console design of the 2013 Maruti SX4 facelifted model.
Apart from it, the changes are also expected to extend to under the bonnet with improved engine mapping or maybe some physical changes to make the engine more peppy and economical on fuel consumption. Performance improvements are expected on both petrol and diesel models as we have seen on other facelifts like Ritz.

Maruti Suzuki India makes the highest selling hatchback in the world, the Maruti Alto and almost every car that the company has in their portfolio below Rs.10 lakhs is a segment leader. Alto, then Wagon-R, Ritz, Swift and Swift Dzire represent the company in various segments and they have been quite the sales toppers with all the products having made a niche for themselves. Barring their CBUs, Grand Vitara and Kizashi, there is also another car that the company brought in to gain a hold over the C segment dominated by Honda City, the Maruti SX4.
SX4 is quite the spacious car and had a power of 105 horses under the hood in the petrol guise when it came back a few years ago. But then times changed, the competing cars got updated, the Arrowshot design of the City became the talk of the town and the SX4 left behind when it came to having the gadgets and gimmicks in the car and once the momentum was lost. It could never be regained even though they introduced the frugal diesel engine in the car. Now today we have for you some spy-shots of the facelift 2013 Maruti SX4 Sedan of the car along with a CNG fuel option.
India is one of the most important markets for Suzuki and it is befitting that they test their cars in the Indian environment. Our friends at Rushlane.com have just put up some spy-shots of the upcoming facelifted SX4 with a CNG kit. The new SX4 will not get very significant changes but mild changes to make car a bit fresher looking. It gets a redesigned grille , some minor changes to the headlights and tail lights along with redesigned bumpers. This facelift is more or less like just a “face-lift” like we have seen in the new Ritz over the older one.
So much so for the changes, it shall be pitted against the upcoming Vento CNG and it would make a better buy than that because of the lower costs of maintenance that the Maruti Suzuki cars bring with them. It will be brought in sometime in the mid of 2013 and will be sold at a price of Rs.60,000 over the corresponding petrol models. We really like Suzuki cars for the peace of mind they bring with them. But it would take more than some minor tweaks and the CNG option to get the sales rolling. This mid life facelift comes before the complete revamp but we don’t really believe this would get the sales rolling but we can’t blame them for trying either.
