Here is some great news! Lamborghini has announced that they will be bringing the 2013 version of the Gallardo to the Indian market soon. The 2013 version of the Gallardo was first unveiled at the Paris Motor Show in 2012. The model indicated some changes to the front and rear styling. However, everything under the hood was untouched. Up front, the Gallardo gets a grouping of sharp triangular and trapezoidal forms which have been highlighted in the body colour and black making the Gallardo LP 560-4 (its full name) to look more aggressive and serious. The air intakes are also larger in shape. The car also gets a new pairs of alloy wheels, 19 inch matt black finish aluminium wheels with polished silver spokes. Forget the car; the wheels alone are a thing of beauty!
Under the hood, the mechanicals remain the same. The Gallardo gets the same 5.2-liter 10-cylinder in a V configuration that spits out 552 BHP of power at 8000 RPM and 539 NM of torque at 6500 RPM. With that much power on tap, you can easily hit the 0 to 100 KMPH mark in just a mere 4 seconds and going all the way to a top speed of 324 KMPH which is some outrageous speed! The engine is mated to E-gear which is Lamborghini’s six-speed, automated-manual transmission with two shift paddles instead of a third pedal.
There is also a standard manual gearbox on the offer, who likes it the old conventional way. The power is sent to the 4 wheels of 19inch size. Braking performance comes from the 14.4 inch 8 piston front callipers and the 14 inch 4 piston rear callipers.
Super car lovers in India, who can afford to buy one, should definitely think about buying one of these since these will be last batches of Lamborghini Gallardos that will be ever produced. The year 2013 marks the end of the brand Gallardo, which will be replaced with something else by the company in 2014.
