BMW India has launched the new 2013 BMW X6 Sports Utility Coupe, a cross between an SUV and a Coupe in India on 22nd November 2012 at its few facility in Faridabad, NCR region, Haryana. The New X6 packs some major cosmetic as well as performance improvements over the previous generation model but the interiors seems to have not undergone much of a treatment. The new 2013 BMW X6 was unveiled in January 2012 along with the major changes and details revealed at that time. Also BMW Inaugurated its largest dealership in India at Faridabad, NCR region in Haryana. This dealership is BMW’s 4S service which is one of the largest in the world. There are all cars of BMW India portfolio on display at this facility.
Exteriors & Interiors – What Is new?

The interiors of the X6 feature sportiness and luxury blended in an elegant way. There is leather upholstery and door trims with a choice of various interior colour options. The BMW iDrive infotainment system makes it a loaded entertainer on the move with lots of space and comfort on the offer.
The exteriors have a modified front fascia compared to the previous generation model. The changes are subtle but are quite easily identifiable when you look at the new model. The placement of the fog lamps, the share of the air-dams, the overhang have been changed which gives the new X6 a more muscular and aggressive stance and more road presence.
On the side profile you will notice new roof rails, sleeker tail lamp wraps around the sides, new alloy wheel design and door underlining with metallic door sills which makes the new model look slightly apart.
At the rear you will see modified tail lamps cluster, larger exhaust tips which are now rectangular compared to round in the previous model.
Specifications and Features
Talking of the powertrains, the new 2013 X6 has a 3 litre 6 cylinder CRDI Diesel engine twin turbocharged engine with 306 BHP of power and 600 Nm of torque and a more powerful 4.4 Litre V8 engine with a peak power of 407 BHP and torque of 600 Nm. It has a paddle shift 8 speed automatic transmission system.
In terms of features, it comes loaded with many safety features like ABS, Airbags, ESP etc. It features iDrive infotainment system with built in GPS navigation, leather seats, electrically adjustable front seats with memory function, new design alloys to name a few.
Price
The BMW X6 has been launched in two variants, the ex-showroom prices are as follows:
- 2013 BMW X6 xDrive50i is priced at Rs. 93.40 Lakhs
- 2013 BMW X6 xDrive60d is priced at Rs. 78.90 Lakhs
