“The introduction of new features in the Polo and the Vento will further excite the customers as both the carlines will offer much more value now. The introduction of these features will pave the path for higher volumes for these carlines.”
The features added to the Vento and Polo top end variants along with the drop in the prices of the cars will surely help increase the sales as the demand for the top end highline variants is higher compared to the other variants.
There is plenty of competition in the premium hatchback segment and the C segment of sedan in the Polo and Vento are placed, some of the cars which compete with these two cars in their respective categories and are well established are i20, Swift, Micra, City, Verna, Rapid etc. It will be interesting to see how the re-positioning and feature addition affects the sales charts of Volkswagen in India.
