Update – New Mercedes M Class Launched In India
It was back in January 2012 at the 2012 Auto Expo where we first saw the 2012 Mercedes M Class. As per the information available with IndianCarsBikes, one of the fellow automobile blogs, Mercedes-Benz is going to launch the 2012 Mercedes ML350 CDI in India during April 2012.
The new M-Class is a huge improvement over its predecessor and features a number of important changes on the exteriors, interiors and on the technical front as well. It is more fuel efficient, ha better safety features, offers unmatched levels of comfort and has superb driving dynamics.

Initially the car will be offered with a 3.0 litre engine across the complete ML350 variant line-up while a cheaper 2.2 litre variant is expected to follow later. The 3.0 litre V6 diesel engine is a turbocharged unit that delivers 258 BHP of max power and 620 Nm of peak torque and is coupled to a 7 speed automatic transmission. The car can attain a top speed of 224 km/h and sprints from 0-100 km/h in 7.4 seconds. It also features a 4MATIC all-wheel-drive system.

Being an improvement over the ongoing model the car had to offer much more and actually it does. It comes with plenty of features including ATTENTION ASSIST, Speed Limit Assist, Tyre pressure loss warning system, Intelligent Light System with specific lighting functions to match the relevant road and weather conditions, Night View Assist Plus with automatic person recognition, ADAPTIVE BRAKE with the functions Hill-Start Assist, priming, brake drying and hold function, Brake Assist BAS, DISTRONIC PLUS with BAS PLUS and many more.
At the time of the launch only two variants are expected to be there while a third, cheaper ‘Corporate Edition’ variant with a 2.2 litre diesel engine is expected to be launched at a later date.
