Earlier it was believed that Mercedes-Benz would roll in its new 2012 Mercedes C CLass with the commencement of the third quarter i.e. in July but lately as per sources the company has deferred the launch of the new C Class to the end of third quarter or early Q4. The reason is still assumed to be the immense growth shown by the car in the past months.
Since last year, the car’s sales figures have shown growth of as much as 88 percent touching 1746 units this year compared to last year’s 928 units.
So what is new in the 2012 C Class? As per what the company says, compared to the current model on the road, the new car has nearly 2000 new components. The front face of the car gets an appreciable makeover with a completely redesigned & bolder front fender. One piece jewel case type tail light and a revised rear bumper are also on the list of the changes made.
On the interiors, the dashboard has been modified with new materials adding appeal to it. The car also comes equipped with a host of new safety features which include:
- Attention Assist
- Adaptive Highbeam Assist
- Park Assist incl. PARKTRONIC
- Lane Keeping Assist
- Blind Spot Assist
The company still shows no interest In making any changes to its engine range and the same engines will be carried over this time as well.

We must wait till the car is officially launched but as expected, there will not be much variations in the pricing as compared to the ongoing variants.
