Fiat Palio 2012 Pictures Leaked– Launch Expected Soon

Fiat Palio, one of the very first hatchbacks in India, has not been in news for quite some time now as there was no evidence of any new Palio under production. But the latest pictures of the 2012 Fiat Palio are out and has been spied in Brazil. It’s a great news for all the small car lovers across the planet as well as in India since the new model is expected to be introduced in the market soon. As per speculations the car will reach the Brazilian market in October or latest by November and an Indian launch could also be seen in the coming year, though the officials are denying the possibility of a new hatchback,

Now leaving all the expectations behind, let us talk about the car itself. The best part about the pictures is that they were completely undisguised which lets us admire the looks of the car.

The car is quite refreshing in terms of looks and by what we see, it looks like a new design for the Palio. The elegant curves of the body distinguish it from the existing product line-up. The first impression of the car is that it resembles the Fiat Grande Punto and I believe it would be true as Fiat has not come up with any new design language recently. Under the chrome grille, in the front bumper it has a honeycomb mesh air vent. From the headlights to the fog lamps, all has been surrounded by black to give it a sporty feel. As a part of the detailing on the car, black cladding has been adopted below the fog lamps on the end of the bumper.

From the sides again a couple of details are available like a nice black sticker on the door and half black painted ORVMs along with black lining around the windows. Also at the place of side skirting the car has been offered with a black cladding. Near the sticker, ahead of the front door a black & chrome insert has also been provided to add sportiness to the car.

The rear of the car is not very appealing and has been kept simple in terms of design. The black cladding has been carried over the lower end of the rear bumper as well. The spoiler is black and the rear fender has has a major portion in the middle which is again black.The headlamps look like a falling drop and add some more character to the car but they do not amaze you.

Coming to the technical aspect the car will be offered in its top end Sporting avatar in Brazil which comes equipped with a 1.6 Liter, 4 Cylinder 16 Valve MPFI petrol engine. But for the Indian market we can expect a 1.3 Liter Multijet engine or the new 1.0 Litre Twin Air unit.
