The manufacturer has now confirmed that they have received more than 9,000 bookings for the Thar in just 4 days of being launched. Our dealership sources confirm that enquiries are much higher than booking numbers.
Such is the popularity of the new Mahindra Thar is that every 1 minute, 2 units of the off-roader are booked across the country. We are expecting it to break the booking records that recently Kia Sonet, Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos made. That will also have a direct effect on the waiting period, which we are expecting to be atleast more than a month from now. We will update the story when our sources confirm the exact waiting period.
