This beautifully restored 1960 Fiat Select highlights the passion some people have for vintage cars. The restoration job has been undertaken by Fiat enthusiast Soumya Bose from Kolkata, who has shared these images on Rusted Wheels Kolkata’s Facebook page. It is an aftermarket car modification house that also provides equipment to restore vintage cars. The images showcase the condition of the vehicle prior to the restoration process. Being a 1960 model, one could understand that the vehicle was in a rather terrible state. Nevertheless, the design house prepared the body for a complete repaint, which is the first step in restoring an old car. A point to note here is that the modification house has not tried to install crazy body panels but has kept it as close to the original as possible. The family who got it restored shared images of them with the vintage car.

They sold it after producing most parts locally by 1964. It later became the iconic Premier Padmini in the Indian market. It was one of the most used cars in the movies, as well as among the elites of the society back in the day.
