Unfortunate accidents are becoming rather common these days and this is the latest addition to that list.
In the latest turn of events, a 17-year-old dies in a crash of a Mahindra Thar and a Toyota Fortuner. Thar is a 4-star safety-rated car and is considered the best off-roading SUV in the country in its segment. It is a popular choice for a whole bunch of typically young and adventure-seeking people. On the other hand, Fortuner is a 7-seater off-roader that has also been at the top of the list of the highest-selling SUVs in its segment. However, overspeeding car result in horrifying consequences regardless of which car is involved. Here are the details of this latest incident.

Toyota Fortuner & Mahindra Thar Crash
This video has been uploaded by Prateek Singh on YouTube. This channel keeps featuring content around the performance of popular cars during unfortunate incidents as well as road safety. This time around, a spine-chilling case has emerged from Guwahati in Assam. As per the information in the video, a group of young people were travelling in the aforementioned SUVs. It was late at night when these cars were being driven on the Ghoramara Road near Hockey Stadium in Guwahati at high speed. For some reason, both the SUVs lost control and ended up facing a terrible fate.

The Thar crashed into the stadium wall while the Fortuner collided with an electric pole and overturned multiple times. The condition of both SUVs is unbearable to watch. Almost all the components of the Toyota Fortuner are severely damaged beyond repair. Similarly, the front section of the Thar is completely destroyed. Unfortunately, the 17-year-old in the Fortuner succumbed to his injuries. All the others were injured and are being treated in the hospital. It is a clear case of overspeeding which led to the drivers losing control.

We lose thousands of lives on roads each year due to the negligence of the drivers to follow the traffic rules. It is high time we start becoming responsible drivers and ensuring that everyone around us follows the traffic regulations at all costs. Overspeeding continues to be the major cause of most car crashes in our country.
