A 12th class student allegedly street racing in his Toyota Fortuner after school farewell party crashed at high speed after losing control
A school student racing his Toyota Fortuner passed away in a fatal crash recently. As per news reports, the accident took place on the Ring Road under the Muhana police station on Monday night. The driver of the vehicle was allegedly racing with his friends after a farewell party at his school.

Toyota Fortuner completed damaged in accident
Speaking on the fatal crash, Hari Shankar, ACP, said, “A 20-year-old boy was also injured in the accident and undergoing treatment. The car was completely damaged in the accident. It had skidded for about 400 metre. We are trying to find out how the crash took place.” As per Ramdhan Meena, sub-inspector at Muhana police station, the victim has been identified as one Meet (18). He added that the patrolling vehicle of the police station received the information of the ill-fated SUV around 4:40 AM on Tuesday.
“The victim and his friend were already taken to the hospital where Meet died later on,” said an official. He further added that the police will check the CCTV footage to ascertain the cause of the fatal crash. “We are trying to retrieve CCTV footage to check if the accident was a result of a collision with some other vehicle, or due to excessive speed of the SUV,” said an official. While the family of the deceased is yet to file any complaint, Yogesh Goyal, DCP (South) has directed the Muhana police station to file an FIR in this matter and conduct a thorough investigation.

DCP Orders through investigation
“Crucial questions like if there was an underage driver, how many people were in the SUV, and where they were going need to be answered. There is also speculation that some friends of the deceased first took him to a private hospital after the accident and then brought him to his family. The family is said to have taken Bhadaya to another hospital, where he was pronounced dead, said an official. “All this needs to be corroborated, and registering an FIR is required for that,” said a police officer.

The police is also trying to trace other vehicles that were at the spot around the time the crash happened. “We have found out the registered owner of the SUV. We will speak to the deceased’s friend who sustained injuries and is now under treatment. The car skidded and rolled down the road for nearly 300 metres sometime after 3am on Tuesday. A patrolling vehicle was dispatched to the scene after the accident. The exact reason behind the accident is yet to be established. We are examining other occupants who were in the ill-fated SUV that night,” said a police official. Even though the police is investigating the reason of accident, some newspapers have e reported that Meet was racing with his friends in other vehicles. He lost control over his SUV at a high speed, which then resulted in the crash.
