A latest case emerges where a Mahindra Bolero Neo crashes into a wall. The visuals display the extent of the impact on the rugged SUV. Note that the Mahindra Bolero Neo recently bagged a rather disappointing 1-star rating at the Global NCAP. Still, the real-life performances of the Bolero show a different picture. Bolero has been an iconic SUV in the Indian market for years now. People use it for various activities including passenger carriers, luggage and off-roaders, primarily in the semi-urban and rural regions. But the Neo is a slightly more attractive and premium iteration of the regular Bolero. Let us take a look at the details here.
Mahindra Bolero Neo Crashes Into Wall
This post comes from Raftaar 7811 on YouTube. The host mentions that this crash took place when the Bolero Neo might have been at high speed. As per the information in the video, the SUV crashes into a brick wall. In fact, the collision was so severe that the wall collapsed on the Bolero Neo and a Chevrolet Tavera parked nearby. The SUV only contained the driver. Thankfully, he was not injured and escaped himself out of the SUV.
Talking about the damage, the front right side of the SUV has been impacted. The fender, driver-side door, bumper, bonnet, headlight, A-pillar, tyre and the side profile have suffered the damage. It can be assumed that the SUV was being driven at a high speed. In fact, even the Tavera is seen deformed quite substantially. All in all, the performance of the Bolero Neo is quite impressive despite an abysmal Global NCAP score. This also proves that real-life situations are different than the controlled testing environments.
Our View
This is a perfect example to showcase that real-life situations could be extremely tricky. Hence, we should not take everything at face value. A car with a low rating could perform well in daily circumstances, and vice versa. Therefore, the key remains that there is no substitute for safe driving. Regardless of the safety ratings, one must take care that they always adhere to the traffic regulations. Even after that, if something terrible were to happen which is out of your control, you can rely on the build quality of the car.
