Maruti’s premium crossover has just received a facelift. The facelift was unveiled last year and features a new nose and other exterior updates. The S-Cross was the first model to go on sale through Nexa dealerships in India. It does not possess the typical SUV appearance the Indian audience craves. Which means sales have been relatively low (by Maruti Suzuki standards). Will the facelift help push sales? We will have to wait and see. Maruti S Cross Old vs New Model Comparison Verdict
The launch of the 2017 new model Maruti S Cross should add a bit of freshness to the styling of the crossover. The updates should also help the S-Cross stay competitive in a segment that is about to see a lot of activity in the coming year or so.
- Design – The new model looks more aggressive. There is a new grille along with new front bumpers and new headlamps.
- Features – The SmartPlay infotainment system offers both Android Auto and Apple CarPlay now. Also, the car gets the SHVS mild-hybrid tech.
- Specifications – The new S Cross comes with the 1.3-litre engine only. However, it gets the SHVS mild hybrid technology for higher mileage. We are sad at the demise of the excellent 1.6-litre engine.
