Hero MotoCorp has launched the new model Hero Xtreme Sports in India. Basically, the Xtreme Sports is a slightly more performance-focused version of the Xtreme and benefits from a slightly better engine performance and some new styling bits. With the increase in power output the Hero Xtreme Sports has become the most powerful bike in its segment. The Xtreme Sports was first showcased at Auto Expo 2014, where it garnered a really positive response from the show goers. The new model Hero Xtreme Sports price is INR 72,725 (ex-showroom, New Delhi). Multi-city price list is as follows:

Tech Specs
Powering the Xtreme Sports is the same 150cc, single-cylinder, carb’ed motor that powers the existing Xtreme. However, for the Sports variant, this engine pumps out a higher peak power-torque of 15.6bhp-13.5Nm (vs 14.2bhp-12.8Nm on the std. model). The new Xtreme Sports reaches from 0-60 km/h in a mere 4.7seconds. Rest of the bike remains pretty much the same, and comes with disc brakes at both the wheels, 5-way adjustable gas-filled rear shock absorbers and alloy wheels. The bike tips the scales at 146 kgs.
Fuel Mileage
While Hero MotoCorp is yet to disclose the ARAI-certified fuel mileage figures for the Xtreme Sports, easily expect them to be above 50 km/l.

Looks
Aesthetically, the Xtreme Sports looks ‘meaner’ than the regular variant. It has a sharper-looking front fairing, a new mud-guard at front, sleeker side-panels and split seats. Up front, the headlight cowl has been redone and the bike gets a new wolf-eye headlamp with aggressive Twin LED Pilot Lamps and winkers. Sporty design elements include a split step-up seat, muffler cover, LED tail lamp and split grab rail. The bike is available in five body colors – Panther Black, Fiery Red, Mercuric Silver and the new Black-Red and Pyro Orange colors.
