Piaggio India, the retailers of Aprilia scooters and motorcycles in India, has finally unveiled the Aprilia SR125 automatic scooter at the Auto Expo 2018. The new Storm will likely slot above the recently unveiled SR125. The new scooter will be likely slotted above the SR 125cc model. In fact, it will become a more macho and bolder alternative to the SR125. In terms of price positioning, it will probably cost as much as its Vespa cousin. The Aprilia Storm India launch is likely to happen very soon. The new scooter will cost roughly Rs 65,000.
The visible changes on the Storm include smaller, but wider wheels compared to the SR125 give it a sportier stance. The scooter is also expected to be offered with a host of accessories including a wind deflector once it goes on sale in India.

In terms of specifications, the Aprilia Storm is powered by the same 124 cc, 4 stroke, single cylinder engine that will also do duty at the recently unveiled at the 2018 Auto Expo. The engine generates 10.05 bhp of power and 9.9 Nm of torque. This engine is mated to a CVT Automatic gearbox. The Aprilia Storm has telescopic front forks and a single side coil spring when it comes to the suspension duties. The rear suspension has a four-setting adjustable spring preload setup.
