Audi India introduced the updated 2017 Audi Q3 a few weeks back in early March. As part of the 2017 MY updates, the Q3 got changes to the engine lineup, new features along with minor cosmetic updates. Now, Audi India has added the Q3 1.4 TFSI FWD to the lineup making the first Q model to get a petrol engine. The Q3 is now available in two diesel variants and one petrol – Q3 2.0 L TDI FWD, Q3 2.0 L TDI Quattro and Q2 1.4 L TFSI FWD. The 2017 Q3 Petrol becomes Audi’s fourth product launch in India after the new A4 Diesel, A3 Cabriolet Facelift and the Diesel variants of the updated Q3. The 2.0 L TDI Diesel is available in two states of tune. In the front wheel drive Q3 it makes 150 HP, while the one that powers the AWD Quattro variant puts out 184 HP. Both variants get a 7-speed S Tronic transmission as standard. Q3 also gets the 1.4 L TFSI petrol from the A4. This engine churns out 150 HP and 250 Nm and comes with a 6-speed automatic transmission.
“We will have overall ten launches this year and some of these models will be in new segments and will be trendsetters in the luxury car market in India. Our thrust is on fulfilling customers’ requirements and in line with that, this is our third launch of the year after the new Audi A3 Cabriolet and the all-new Audi A4 TDI,” added Mr. Ansari.
